A Preston Connecticut man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with running a marijuana-growing operation, state police said.

Preston resident state troopers arrested Jason Arbogast, 31, of Preston, Friday on a warrant connected to an October incident.

On Oct. 28, Connecticut state police responded to 67 Route 2A in Preston to investigate a reported disturbance. During their investigation, troopers said they found what they described as a large-scale marijuana-growing operation. The Connecticut Statewide Narcotics Task Force was called to the scene and seized large amounts of marijuana, cash and equipment used to grow marijuana.

Arbogast is charged with cultivation of marijuana over 1 kilogram, possession of marijuana over 1 kilogram, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and operation of a Connecticut drug factory.

He is being held on $75,000 bail and will appear Monday in Norwich Superior Court.
